Integrated milk systems of coffee machines:

1. For perfect results, pour 50 ml of milk system cleaner (i.e. 2 measuring cups) into the milk container and fill it with 450 ml of water.

2. Start the cleaning process as described in the machine’s operating instructions.

3. Rinse the machine thoroughly with clear water as described in the operating instructions.

4. For optimal results place all compo- nents that come into contact with milk in the used cleaning solution.

External milk frothers:

Pour 50 ml of milk system cleaner (i.e. 2 measuring cups) into the milk frother and fill it with water. Allow to work for 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water.

IMPORTANT: This product is not intended for use as a descaler. We recommend durgol swiss espresso, available separately.

Why do I need to clean the milk-carrying parts of my coffee machine or my external milk frother?

Milk residues can promote the growth of harmful bacteria. The coffee quality/taste is negatively affected if the milk comes from a contaminated milk system. The service life and performance of the milk system and thus the coffee machine is extended or improved. We recommend regular cleaning, ideally every 2 weeks. For optimum quality of your latte coffee specialities and a long service life for your machine.

Why should I use durgol milk system cleaner for my coffee machine and not simply durgol swiss espresso?

The special descaler durgol swiss espresso was specially developed for optimal limescale removal in a coffee machine. The milk system cleaner, on the other hand, is not designed for descaling, but for hygienic cleaning of the milk-carrying parts. These are two different areas of application.

What is the shelf life of durgol products?

durgol products have a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture.

How environmentally friendly is the durgol milk system cleaner?

The durgol milk system cleaner has a particularly environmentally friendly formula. They are certified by the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) as "readily biodegradable" and have a biodegradability of over 99.5 % after just 18 days. The classification "readily biodegradable" is the highest level of biodegradation that can be achieved. The product is also very economical. The strong efficacy enables a particularly economical and environmentally friendly dosage and thus leads to a significantly better environmental balance in the consumption of cleaning agents and packaging.
